Someone took my two favorite colors and used them on their front door. Don’t you just love it? I wish I could get away with a hot pink door in my neighborhood.
I have been busy trying to fix up the house. What is it that makes you go into super cleaning/organize the house mode when Christmas is over? I love Christmas. But on the 26th I am ready to put away all the decorations and have some clean surfaces in my house again.
I rearranged the front room and bought a couple of pillows from Target. They are furry…can you tell from this pic?
I also got a new shower curtain and rings for the kids bathroom. Their shower curtain is bleached out and a few of the rings won’t stay shut. I am not 100% sure that I want gray in there…but white was too plain…and the gray goes with the sparkle rings! And it is really all about the sparkle rings.
I am also trying to get the year-old-curtain-rod-hole-patches sanded and painted this weekend…and the slipcover finished (it is 85% of the way there)…then the front of the house will feel somewhat put together.
I still need six chairs for the Ikea dining table (I’d like to get these rather soon/tax return but I would prefer something vintage and it is hard to find 6 matching vintage chairs for a decent price…so I am not sure what I will end up with???) and a sideboard (I can hunt for this all year until I find something cheap that I can paint). I am also looking for a white shag rug for the living room.
This rug pic is from Homegoods. I think I can do better on price. I am just starting my search so that I will be ready to purchase something at tax return time.
