 Since Liam was diagnosed with Lyme earlier this week I have been cleaning like crazy. I don’t know if it is because the fog has lifted or if I am a bit worried and trying to distract myself…but whatever the case may be, I cleaned out the sitting room and dining room at the front [...] I have just started planning regular meals again after a couple of months of eating pasta, eggs etc. I have for sure decided that I missed cooking real food. It is the constant kitchen clean up that gets me, not the cooking. When you try to mostly make food from scratch 3 times a day [...] Theses are my lovely shoes that I almost threw out because the cats peed on them…but I stuck them in a bag until I didn’t get sick looking at them. I wiped them down with a mixture of half vinegar and half water with some baking soda for good measure (Thanks, Granzie, for the [...] Last week I began washing all the winter clothes/sheets/coats/hats etc and storing them for next winter. I unpacked the summer clothes and pool towels This led to weeding out clothes that are too small for the kids. Which led to cleaning out the boys’ closet. Which led to moving furniture down to the basement. [...] The big slip covers are having an oxi-soak in the big tub. And the armoire is continuing it’s transformation…and must be primed again today. I had a realization after I bought the same paint for this piece that I used on the front door…I didn’t want to paint it blue! I want to [...] Fresh flowers. My favorite! Purple seems a bit Thanksgiving-y, right? $20 from Giant. I am always so proud when I come up with an interesting arrangement of flowers from Giant. There is so little to choose from! I really have to dig. AND use my imagination! It is like a treasure hunt. I love [...] So, I started out last week with jury duty on Monday. Painful. Literally. After sitting all day in a no support-type chair, my back went out on Tuesday (after cleaning my trashy bedroom and half of the filthy bathroom, oh…I forgot to take an after pic…). Not the terrible bone rubbing thing it used to [...] First, a few random things… 1. Not sure if I am liking the “no-shampoo” baking soda instead thing. I have been doing it for 8 days and maybe I have not really given it a proper chance yet (I am sure I could adjust the amount of baking soda vs. vinegar wash a billion times [...] On etsy. A bit too expensive but cute! I had Christian put a hook up this weekend so I could hang up this broom I use in the kitchen. Since Mila came home I use this broom at least 3x/day. Every time I moved her high chair I would knock this broom down, so it will be so nice to have it right [...] |
