Banana bread with chocolate and crystallized ginger from A Homemade Life.

And this is the first beef I have tried that I actually really liked. I used this recipe and only changed it up slightly.

Muffins and Bars oh my!

Lemon poppy seed muffins. From Joy the Baker. We have loved every recipe of hers that I have ever made. Good stuff.

I also made these Martha bars. We ate them so fast, I didn’t get a pic. They have 48 chewy caramels in them. I don’t need to say anymore! Oh and chocolate [...]

A few things…

I have just started planning regular meals again after a couple of months of eating pasta, eggs etc. I have for sure decided that I missed cooking real food. It is the constant kitchen clean up that gets me, not the cooking. When you try to mostly make food from scratch 3 times a day [...]

Grocery day

So what do you buy at the the grocery when you don’t feel like cooking?

I am not at all in the mood to cook these days. Not sure why…I think I would rather be sewing right now…and I am tired of cleaning up the kitchen. So I have decided to keep it simple [...]

1/4 c miso

1 1/2 Tbls rice vinegar

This is my version of my favorite pita sandie from a restaurant in [...]

And the after:

It is my easy standby blueberry muffin recipe with a crumb topping added. Not my favorite (where is the chocolate?), but pretty good!

Here is the boss:

Molten Chocolate Baby Cakes

From Nigella’s How To Be A Domestic Goddess. I made these last week when we hung out with family and ate bread and cheese snacks and then had these for dessert. They were SO SO good! They seem kind of fancy, but easy at the same time. In fact they are ingredients you probably already [...]
