 The weather has been so nice that I had roses until the end of November! Lovely. By the way, these are called “Iceberg” roses (they are climbers) and they are pretty but the leaves are always covered in black spot. Since I won’t spray them, the black spot never goes away. At least, this is the grown up version of bubble gum and candy….fresh flowers, magazines (I do love a good magazine, especially Christmas time ones), special chocolate, and Betsy Johnson knee socks from Marshall’s. Boy was it FUN! I brought this plant stand back up from the basement. I replanted the hanging geraniums from the porch and brought them on for the winter. Darling helped repaint with me. And a long bowl that I am going to put on my dresser to hold my pretty hair things (I think). Total spent? $13. I have a weakness for pretty china! Platter: It almost has a hand painted quality. I put it by my bed because I read a magazine article where the designer said she put fragrant flowers by her bed so she smells them first thing when she wakes. It sounded fancy and fabulous! And [...] Easter flowers from Grams! Thank you so much, Grams! I cried when I opened the door and the flower man handed them to me. What a wonderful surprise I put them on the mantle. They still look fabulous! New door mat. Target $12.99 12 Geraniums for $26 from Costco. I filled all four of my big planters out front! Kitchen sink rug. I like the pink in it. 50% off at Jo Ann Fabrics. I hope the cats don’t pee on it! What is with them lately? [...] My white pots were pretty and the look I was going for but both of them were leaking! I am happy with the new mercury glass homes for the two amaryllis bulbs, but I am not impressed with the paper whites new home. Might have to rethink it? Anyway, now that I have [...] |
