 Yes! Really! I always loved the movie Barefoot in the Park and Jane Fonda’s hair. This is the short version of that same style. Don’t you just love it? Darling is going to show me how to do this tonight…(not may hair!)…how to take snap shots of movies! This is terribly [...] I LOVE this look. Not crazy in love with the movie…but I love the floral dresses with the chunky sweaters and tall socks and English wellies. That is so FUN! I think I have a fall wardrobe inspiration. [...] Miles is home sick today. We are listening to “The Fantastic Mr. Fox” by Roald Dahl on cd. I will make granola and bread and maybe cookies after this post…We watched the Fantastic Mr. Fox movie last weekend. It was so funny. I don’t really like most children’s movies too much…I know that is weird. [...] I have always wanted a cape. A really nice one. I have a cape pattern. But I am not quite sure how exactly to modify it so that I can wear it everyday…not just when I want to make a “yes, I am wearing a cape” statement (although I think it is pretty awesome [...] We took the boys to see this yesterday. Look at the embroidery on the bottom of this dress. Love it! [...] Fascinating! This couple has been collecting minimalist (and other modern) art since the late 1950′s. He was a post office worker his entire life and she was a librarian. They paid the bills with her salary and with his they bought art, lots and lots of art. They wouldn’t sell the collection but decided [...] I saw that this is up for the best costume design award at the academy awards…along with my favorite Bright Star! The academy awards are tomorrow night (Sunday). I always like to watch a little bit… I liked it,but didn’t crazy love it. I think I was mostly inspired by the clothes she was wearing before she was famous. She would take her boyfriend’s clothes and cut them up and wear them in a new way. I guess I am still really inspired by old menswear…ever since I watched the [...] OK, so I just have to mention…did you watch the clip? I read a review of this movie and they called that scene “camp.” Camp as in: “something that is considered amusing not because of its originality but because of its unoriginality????”…really? or is there another definition of camp? Are they serious? I nearly cry [...] So, last night Darling and I watched “Little Ashes.” (it is a ‘watch it now’ film on netflix) This film is about the rather tragic love between Spanish writer Lorca and artist Salvador Dali. It was set in the 1920′s in Spain. I have to say, I almost never notice men’s clothes in movies…but these [...] |
