A new tea towel embroidery I am working on.
Blankie for baby Aiden with leftover big blankie cotton yarn.
At Miles 7th grade band performance. Miles was all dressed up and looked so handsome…I didn’t get a pic
I bought these sheets from TJMaxx the day before my surgery. They are so pretty. Not that soft though…even though they are cotton…they don’t compare to the Ralph Lauren sheets…those are so SOFT and they only get softer with age.
Awesome kitty pic. That is Squeezel hanging off and Totoro sitting next to him.
I couldn’t believe how blue and perfect the sky looked last week. It looks photo-shopped or something…doesn’t it?
We had to put Moon down this morning. She was about 17 years old. Our longest lived kitty. She came home from Italy with us. So sad. She had a blood clot a few weeks ago and lost use of her back leg. Although she slowly regained use of her leg, the vet said the next clot would be worse, and it was. Last night I loved her and thought how frail she seemed now and commented on how she hadn’t been outside since the first clot. She was a smart kitty. At 4am I woke to a strange noise. She was flopping about. When I came down she started crying. We didn’t want her to be in pain or scared. Christian had to bring her in to a 24 hour pet hospital. Terribly sad. I know she had a good long life and was healthy right up to the last few weeks. I guess that is the best way to go. When we first got her in Italy she was so small she could sit in the palm of your hand.
Moonie must be close to 15+ years old now. She is so tiny, she still looks like a kitten.
Giant Totoro squeezed himself into tiny Moon’s bed. He looked so funny (and sweet)!
$3.49 at Ross. I had a tray here before for the cat food but it broke and we have been without one ever since. It is SO much nicer having the tray to hold the cat bowls. It really keeps this little area so much more neat and tidy. It is strange how happy I am for small conveniences. And I just loved this color. We lucked out and found both of the boys new skate shoes and and tops/hoodies at Ross. They were really in need of a few new things and they were so cheap there!
One of the blogs I read is having a give away of her new book! You have to send in a pic of something romantic from your house…hmmm not sure what that means…but I do like this new little “cookbook corner” I created. And so does Squeezel! Poor thing is always left out! Totoro and Moon have nice basket beds with a homemade cushion and poor Squee has to make do with whatever thing is lying around! Frequently it is a card board box! LOL! Someday you will have your own bed Squee, I promise!
I have to style this area up a bit and then I will post the pics I am thinking of. I think tomorrow is the last day to submit my entry.
It is a mouse hole kitty door just the perfect size for the cats to sneak into the basement and use the litter boxes. Mila can’t fit her head in but she likes to stuff things down there. Like my shoes.
Totoro finally seems to be better now. We just let him out of the bathroom yesterday. I think I did the last of the peed on laundry today.
Mila had a very hard time on the antibiotics for her ear infection. She became so constipated that she couldn’t sleep at night and screamed while she was straining to go potty. It was so hard to see her like that. I took her to our natural doctor yesterday and got some nutrition advice. And after baby prunes and prune juice and yogurt and seaweed salad and blueberries and lots of water etc etc. She is finally past the worst.
It will be nice to get a good nights sleep and get back to a normal schedule tomorrow. There has been little time for anything else other than baby and cat care lately…but we should be past the worst now.
