 Here are the finds. This is the second best rummage sale of the year. It happens the first Sat of December every year. I found a set of hardback Louisa May Alcott books in perfect condition for $10 (my blog is named darling dovecote because I loved it in the book Little Women when [...] The 42nd annual RRUUC Bazaar and Silent Auction will take place Saturday December 3, 2011, 8 am to 3:30 pm. The Bazaar has high quality, gently used goods donated by members and friends of our congregation. This year RRUUC also has an enhanced and expanded the Silent Auction with many more higher valuable donated items to [...] HUGE HOLIDAY RUMMAGE SALE Save the date for the Saint Thomas More Academy Holiday (and Everything Else) Rummage Sale November 5th from 8AM-1PM. This sale is going to be MASSIVE. (Item donations from community and school-wide.) (So much stuff it has taken us days just to sort!) Lots of Quality Items at CHEAP YARD SALE [...] I found pink Margarita glasses. I thought they were more of the 1960′s glasses that I buy every year at this sale, but they are slightly different. Still pretty. I have never in my life had a margarita, but now maybe I will! Can you stand it? I got two of these plates. [...] Tickets for the 8-9 a.m. preview sale must be purchased in advance and are available for ages 12 and up at the Twice is Nice thrift shop at 305 E. Market St. in Leesburg, the gift shop at the Lansdowne hospital campus and Black Shutter Antiques, located at 1 Loudoun St., SW, in Leesburg. General [...] Last week was a tough week. Lyme Disease. Hmmmmmm….let’s not talk about that today… Last Sat G and I went to St Thomas Moore Academy rummage sale in Buckeystown. It was decent. Here is what I got: Bird Bath 75 cents. Blue Depression Glass $3. An Italian skirt/top outfit for Mla for $1. I [...] Last weekend’s thrifting. St Ignatius had their sale starting Fri (it is almost all junk). I purchased the purple tin and vintage glass pitcher. total spent there was $1.50. Oh wait the kids picked out a couple things for another 50 cents. So total was $2. I went to the Gaithersburg outdoor flea market [...] I went down to the Rummage Sale at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Rt 28 in North Potomac. They advertised this one as a yard sale so it was difficult to figure out what time it started. (7am). I got there at 8am…it was really bad. There were a few cute clothes [...] 1. I ordered new yarn for the big blankie from Jo Ann Fabrics. All yarn is currently 25% off, plus I got a free shipping. I have been stuck for a while since I have started to run out of colors. 2. Have you been watching South Riding on Masterpiece Theater? If not, you can [...] Total spent? $4 I am going to try and spray paint those gaudy candle holders white and see what I think.
